PickleFamilia Companion (the "App") is operated by 1041Soft. This policy explains what data the App collects, why, and the choices you have.
Local-only data. The players, games, rounds, scores and notes you create for pickup games stay on your device. None of it is sent anywhere. The court scheduler is on-device math; no AI, no cloud.
Club sign-in. If you are a member of a club that runs on PickleFamilia and you sign in, the App sends your mobile number to that club's PickleFamilia service, which texts you a one-time code. Your number is already on the club's roster; the service stores it encrypted, and it is what the club texts you on. The session token is kept in your device's keychain and cleared when you sign out or delete the App.
Club data. Once signed in, the App reads and writes your club data on the PickleFamilia service: the days you can play, the games you are seated on, courts recorded by bookers, the club's roster and published schedule, and the messages you exchange with the club. Admins and bookers also read and write the club's settings, venue and closed days. This data belongs to the club and is kept for the club's operation.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications after signing in, your device's APNs token is registered with the PickleFamilia service so your club can reach you (a game tomorrow, a court needed, a reply). The token is removed when you sign out.
Calendar. "Add to Calendar" writes that one game to your calendar, only when you tap it.
Local network. "Listen" and running a game with others nearby use Bonjour on the Wi‑Fi in the room to show court assignments and scores between phones. Player names are shared between those phones only; nothing leaves the local network.
